The location was amazing. Not in the middle of downtown, but for us was even better. Not only the bar and restaurant in the hotel, but also one next door and one across the street. An amazing restored hotel. Our room was excellent as well as the staff. Definitely will be staying here again on our spring trip . It fit our lifestyle to a T!! There are reviews out there that have understated how nice of a place this is. Also some of the "attitudes" of the employees. If you follow the guide lines of check in and out ( which appears to be the same and must at every place in town) and read what they offer, there will be no surprises. Everyone treated us so nice and was very helpful. Glad we booked with The Lodge
Super mountain Lodge right in the heart of Red River. Staff is friendly and accomidating. Rooms are rustic but comfortable.
The place is in a great location walking distance, staff was supper friendly, rooms are comfortable and food at steak house was delicious it's Christmas day and just absolutely beautiful here highly recommend staying here. Second day here yet overall experience is 100% if you so make it out during the winter you have to see the tourch parade is was amazing.

The Lodge is a charming and historical hotel. It has a welcoming feeling of coming home. The rooms are comfortable, and we often gathered with other guests in the upstairs lobby. It is family friendly. However artists, musicians, and notable people slip in and stay under the radar of the public. I was surprised to find out how many famous people stay there. It reminded me of being at an inn rather than a commercial hotel. The building is sturdy and old and full of character and gorgeous knotty pine. It is like stepping back to a simplier time where people look you in the eye when they speak to you and are genuinely glad you are there. There is an amazing restaurant, Texas Reds. It has great steaks and a small bar, the Lost Love, where incredibly talented musicians are playing while you drink or eat and all is housed within the hotel. The staff knew my name and were happy to share the events going on in town. If you are looking for a true Red River, NM experience this is the place. I definitely will be a return guest.
Staff friendly and attentive to your needs and concerns. Rustic, clean and comfortable. Mattresses firm and very comfortable. Quiet and beautiful views of mountains that surround Red River. Would stay again next year.
